Expression lines, frown lines or crow's feet - but also excessive sweating - can be treated very well with wrinkle treatments using botulinum toxin injections.
The human facial musculature consists of 26 different muscles that ensure that we can move individual parts of our face. Increasing age and external environmental influences make such wrinkles extremely pronounced. Expression lines in particular are ideal for treatment with botulinum toxin and can be significantly reduced, if not disappear completely. Botulinum toxin can really work wonders here!

Wrinkle injections with botulinum toxin are suitable for the following areas of application:

Wrinkle injections relax the muscles in the treated area and the wrinkles are smoothed out.
How botulinum toxin works
During an injection with botulinum toxin by an experienced doctor, the nerve impulses that transmit the command to a specific facial muscle to tense up are specifically blocked. The treated area can no longer contract uncontrollably. The wrinkle treatment has a smoothing effect, as the muscles relax and the overlying skin is de-wrinkled. In combination with a Hyaluron treatment deeper wrinkles can also be treated well. No new mimic wrinkles can develop in the treated areas for several months after the treatment. The nerve impulses to the sweat glands are blocked using the same principle in the anti-sweat treatment.

The treatment
Wrinkle injections are minimally invasive. The precisely dosed active ingredient is injected into the affected muscles using the finest injection needles.
Redness or bruising may occur during wrinkle treatment. However, this will subside after a few days. The treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Results
Botulinum toxin is generally well tolerated. As a rule, you will be socially acceptable again immediately after such treatment. The healing process is influenced by various factors. You will notice that the treated muscle areas will lose strength over the next few days and the full effect will be felt after approx. 10 days.

Aftercare
Good aftercare is crucial!
Basically it comes to no major restrictions in everyday life and you will be socially acceptable again immediately after the wrinkle treatment.
The healing process is influenced by various factors. Your behavior after the wrinkle treatment is crucial for a long-lasting and beautiful result. The effect of wrinkle treatment lasts between four and six months. With a certain regularity of the treatment in one of our Beauty clinics in Switzerland the treatment intervals may be longer from one treatment to the next, due to less active muscle tension in the corresponding parts of the face.
- The effect achieved lasts between four and six months an.

- You can see the first results of the treatment after three to five days. The full effect is given after about 10 days.
- 14 days after the wrinkle treatment in Zurich there is a Control appointment, during which the result is discussed with one of our doctors.

We recommend that you strictly follow the instructions of our doctors to minimize any possible reactions.
The first hours after your treatment
- Do not touch the treated areas
- Abstain from smoking and alcohol consumption
- Do not use make-up immediately after the treatment.
The first evening
- In the evening of the treatment day, the affected areas may be cooled carefully, e.g. with a compress (not directly from the refrigerator and not more than a few minutes at a time) to prevent swelling.
- For prophylaxis of possible swellings and hematomas, e.g. homeopathic Arnica globules can be taken.
The first days after your treatment
- The treated areas should not be massaged or subjected to strong pressure during the first three days so that the filling material does not shift.
- During the first days, sauna, solarium, long sunbathing and intensive sports should be avoided.
Extra Tip: Make sure to drink enough water (2-3 liters per day) so that the hyaluronic acid filler can fully develop its effect.

The first hours after your treatment

- Abstain from alcohol consumption and smoking
- Do not use make-up in the immediate aftermath
- Do not touch the treated areas
- Refrain from applying cold or warm compresses
The first days after your wrinkle treatment
- We recommend that you repeatedly exercise the treated facial muscles after the application to promote the binding of the botulinum to the nerve endings. Example: when treating frown lines, you should increase frowning for about 20 minutes. Research suggests that by activating the muscles, the botulinum toxin is better absorbed and thus the effect is more targeted.
Despite medically flawless injections with botulinum toxin, there is a possibility of redness, small blue spots, and a slight discoloration of the skin after the wrinkle treatment in Zurich.
